Seau had it all: Size, speed, strength, agility, awareness, and had a mean streak. He was the perfect bully and had all of the characteristics for the top Middle Linebacker of all-time.
Ray Lewis was only 6'1 but was built like a pile of bricks. At 250 lbs., he was no little guy either. He maxed out his talent and his tenacious attitude more than made up for his height. He ran to every play with a reckless abandon. He played like someone that had just snorted an 8-ball of cocaine before every play.
Luke only played for 8 seasons, but they were all top-notch seasons and more than enough to display his top talent. He's more of a modern-day linebacker, with the speed and agility to thrive in the passing game as well.
Urlacher was a big bully. He doesn't have the same speed as the top 3 guys, but he's no slouch. At 6'4 260 lbs, he's the biggest on the list. Big enough to play DE in a 3-4 defense. Urlacher was a ball-hawk who bullied his way to the ball on every down.
The biggest bully of his time at middle-linebacker. He covered up so many holes on the defense by just flying to the ball on every play. He was known to clothesline and body-slam guys.
If you notice, all of the guys on the list have a certain level of charisma and enthusiasm that they play with every down. Especially Mike Singletary, he lays it all on the line every play.
