The Ultimate Study Hall of Talent
SMALL FORWARD ANEESAH MORROW | 6'1 | LSU
Morrow might be the top talent in this draft, I really believe that. The only reason I don't have her #1 is because I don't think the Wings will consider it. They passed on Angel Reese last year, they don't have the best scouts. Morrow has the best all-around game on top of being a great scorer. Strong and skilled player with great shooting touch. Can spread the floor, can finish inside, sets good screens, crashes the boards, rebounds well, and can knock down the 3. Excellent scorer, averaged 26 PPG as a sophomore, she can obviously put points on the board.
On defense, she reminds me of Alyssa Thomas. She's that kind of bully. She's strong, she's physical, and she stands her ground. She's worthy of a top pick. She's actually a better fit with Dallas than Paige is. With Arike (top scorer in the league) and Carrington (1st Team Defense) in the backcourt already, what's the plan here for Paige? They spent the off-season loading up at guard. Dallas is not an ideal situation for Dallas. If I were Dallas, I would offer this pick to Seattle at #2 or Golden State at #5 in exchange for their 2027 1st round pick. The 2027 Draft will be loaded with stars and may end up being the best draft class of all-time.
GUARD PAIGE BUECKERS | 6'0 | UCONN
Paige has a super-quick release to her jump shot. She lulls you to sleep for a split second and then she unloads on you. She is accurate from deep 2 and 3-point range. She is a combo guard, but is more of a natural 2. She could develop into a good playmaker though, the skills are there.
If I was Paige's agent, I would tell Dallas not to draft her. Arike is ball-dominant and one of the top scorers in the league. It's her team. Then they traded for D.Carrington, who was on 1st Team All-Defense last season. A #1 pick and future star wants to go to a team where she can be handed the keys to the car. She's driving in the passenger seat with Dallas. She's driving the car in Seattle.
POINT GUARD OLIVIA MILES | 5'10 | NOTRE DAME
Ball dominant guard that can score well and has big play ability. Will have to go to the right team so that she can play her type of game.
A place like a new expansion team that's going to need a floor leader and scorer would be perfect. Miles would be an great option for Golden State, who somehow dropped to #5 in this draft. NBA expansion teams usually get a top 2 pick. Golden State might want to trade up for her.
What I would do: If I'm Chicago, I'm trying to get Aneesah Morrow to play SF. She won a national title with Reese, Morrow led the team in PPG (25.7) that season when she was just a sophomore. It would give Chicago the best rebounding team in the entire league plus much-needed scoring.
POWER FORWARD/CENTER KIKI IRIAFEN | 6'3 | USC
Iriafen is a gifted athlete and impacts the game in so many different ways. A versatile Forward, with good size and mobility, she was seen dunking in some workout videos. She had great coaching at Stanford for 3 years, and now she'll be joining Juju for 1 year to compete for a National Championship. Statistically, she could take a step back because she's the 2nd best player on her team. She'll have to fit in around Juju.
She'd be a weird fit in Chicago, who already have Reese and Cardosa. They need more scorers and playmakers on the wing more than anything. This is an awkward draft so far. The talent just isn't matching the team needs. A trade is imminent unless they think this could work for their rotation. Kiki was projected to go #1 before the season, is a polished and talented player.
(#11 IN THE VIDEO)
SMALL FORWARD SONIA CITRON | 6'1 | NOTRE DAME
Really smooth player, has good size at 6'1. Can play guard or forward. Good ability to get clean shots off of the dribble.
Citron plays for one of the most talented teams in the country. Olivia Miles is a top 5 projection and Hidalgo will go #2 behind Juju Watkins in the 2027 WNBA Draft. 2 ball-dominant guards, and Citron was still able to put up good numbers as a 3rd option.
This is crazy that an expansion team would get the #5 pick in the draft. The WNBA needs to update their philosophy to look more like what the NBA does. Orlando received the #1 pick when they took Shaq.
GUARD AZZI FUDD | 5'11 | UCONN
Polished player with excellent coaching. Has been seasoned at the great UCONN, and has good game to go with it. Doesn't have many weaknesses and can play either backcourt position.
This seems like a player that Washington would like. Having taken Aliyah Edwards last year, who also went to UCONN. They elected to take a fundamentally sound player over Angel Reese. So they'd most likely take a more fundamentally sound Azi Fudd over Georgia Amoore.
POWER FORWARD MAKAYLA TIMPSON | 6'2 | FLORIDA STATE
Timpson is a tough, tough player. Solidly built, chiseled power forward. Is an elite shot blocker, averaging 3 blocker per game for Florida State.
The Sun are in full rebuild mode, after losing all 5 of their starters to free-agency or trades.
POINT GUARD GEORGIA AMOORE | 5'6 | VIRGINIA TECH/KENTUCKY
Usually, she's the fastest and quickest player on the court. Has excellent basketball suave. She's a great ball-handler, can push the ball fast in transition. Has played with bigs, so knows how to play off of them.
After literally losing all of their starters from last season, the Connecticut Sun are desperate for playmakers and scorers. Exhibit A: Georgia Amoore.
CENTER DOMINIQUE MALONGA | 6'6 | FRANCE
Nice long-term potential at the Center position, especially on defense.
The Sparks don't have their 2026 1st round pick, so they better swing for the fences on this one.
GUARD/FORWARD SHYANNE SELLERS | 6'2 | MARYLAND
Versatile player plays like a point guard, but with the size of a power forward. Is a leader for her team, can help the team in a variety of ways. Scoring, rebounding, playmaking, and solid defense.
The Sky do well in this draft if they follow my formula.
POWER FORWARD/C JANIAH BARKER | 6'4 | UCLA
Barker is only a junior, but she can enter the draft since she'll be 22 years old before the cut-off.
This pick is based on potential. Barker has good potential. She'll only be 22 when the season starts, has a long frame, and runs the floor well. She'll be able to rim run, rebound, and protect the paint. The Lynx could use some depth in the frontcourt.
The Aces lost this pick as a result of league violations. Coach Hammons was suspended as well for her role in it.
However, the Aces made a genius selection in last year's draft. They were able to pick up 6'6 Elizabeth Kitley. I had her rated as a top 5 player in the 2025 WNBA Draft before her ACL injury. If she returns to form, she'll be a huge addition for an already great team. They have the personnel to go with the big line-up.
FORWARD AJSA SIVKA | 6'4 | SLOVENIA
The Sun were able to acquire this pick from the Sun as a result of the Alyssa Thomas signing.
GUARD TE-HINA PAOPAO | 5'9 | SOUTH CAROLINA
Excellent shooter on all levels. From free throws to field goals, to 3-pointers. It's hard not to love the pure-shooting ability. Transferred to South Carolina, which was a great decision. She can play either guard position, and could fit into the backcourt with just about anybody. She obviously has great coaching which no doubt helps along the way.
CENTER AYOKA LEE | 6'5 | KANSAS STATE
One thing that the Dream don't have is a young Center that is capable of scoring points. Lee has excellent point moves down low. She doesn't run the floor well and that's why she's going in the 2nd round.
GUARD GIANNA KNEEPKENS | 6'0 | UTAH
Efficient scorer, good shot selection, and excellent touch on her shots. Shoots well on all levels: 3-pointers, free throws, and field goals. Nice form on her shots, squares up and let's it rip.
GUARD AZIAHA JAMES | 5'9 | NORTH CAROLINA STATE
With Jewell Loyd now gone to the Aces, the Storm will need another aggressive and scoring-minded guard on the roster.
FORWARD MADDY WESTBELD | 6'3 | NOTRE DAME
Stretch 4 that can play her role as a spot up shooter from 3. She played that role this year in college, so the transition will be seamless. Golden State gets a solid player here with a natural shooting stroke. I'd like to see her hit the glass a little harder, but she can fit in just about anywhere as a catch-and-shoot player.
POINT GUARD RORI HARMON | 5'6 | TEXAS
The Hawks lack true point guards on their roster and pick up a quality one right here.
FORWARD SANIYA RIVERS | 6'1 | NORTH CAROLINA STATE
Athletic Small Forward that impacts the game on defense. Doesn't need to score much, will do the dirty work.
The Fever have a roster of solid veterans now. With their draft picks, they should focus on players that can defend and run.
GUARD RAVEN JOHNSON | 5'9 | SOUTH CAROLINA
The Fever get Johnson for a few reasons, she's obviously an elite defender. By drafting her, you have someone that can guard every other team's point guard and stay in front of them. On the other hand, you don't have to worry about her guarding Caitlin Clark. Another plus is that Clark will get to compete against her in practice which will make them both even better at what they do. Knives sharpening knives if they can both embrace it.
POINT GUARD HALEY VAN LITH | 5'6 | TCU
Van Lith came into this year with something to prove, and so far she's done just that. TCU has been a great fit for her. She doesn't have to defer as much as she did with LSU. They are also playing more to her strengths. She's in great shape; she has a chip on her shoulder now. You can look at her this year and notice that she put in that conditioning work during the off-season. She's ready for the pros.
There should be plenty of opportunities in Seattle.
GUARD SERENA SUNDELL | 6'1 | KANSAS STATE
The Vegas have excellent scouting and have done a fine job over the years. While there are better scorers available here, look for the Aces to find a polished player that can come in and fill a role. Sundell is a floor general and playmaker. She'll be looking for teammates more than she's looking for her own shots. She can follow the game plan and play a winning brand of basketball.
CENTER SEDONA PRINCE | 6'7 | TCU
Washington has plenty of power forwards, but they don't have a lot of true centers.
FORWARD MADISON SCOTT | 6'2 | OLE MISS
Versatile Forward that can impact the game in a variety of ways.
POWER FORWARD DEYANA GASTON | 6'2 | AUBURN
#3
Point Guard O'Mariah Gordon
Center Khadija Faye | 6'4 | Pittsburgh
RAYAH MARSHALL | 6'4 | USC
POINT GUARD EMILY RYAN | 5'11 | IOWA
GUARD JJ QUINERLY | 5'8 | WEST VIRGINIA
CENTER/POWER FORWARD ALEXIS MARKOWSKI | 6'3 | NEBRASKA
GUARD HARMONI TURNER |5'10 | HARVARD
Center Allyson Fertig | 6'4 | Wyoming
Guard Katelyn Young | 6'1 | Murray State
Center Ra Shaya Kyle | 6'6 | Florida
Guard Haley Cavinder | 5'6 | Miami
Guard Sarah Ashlee Barker | 6'0 | Alabama
Forward Emma Ronsiek | 6'2 | Colorado State
