The Ultimate Study Hall of Talent
GUARD PAIGE BUECKERS | 6'0 | UCONN
Paige has a super-quick release to her jump shot. She lulls you to sleep for a split second and then she unloads on you. She is accurate from deep 2 and 3-point range. She is a combo guard, but is more of a natural 2. She could develop into a good playmaker though, the skills are there.
This worked out great for Dallas, who will now have a top backcourt in the league with 2 guards that can really put points on the board. This also gives Paige a chance to be a point guard and playmaker in the pros instead of a 2-guard. Dallas is only a few pieces away from being a contender. Arike Ogunbowale is in her prime and ready to compete for a title now. The Sparks may have been a better fit for Paige, as she would have had more freedom with the basketball, but Dallas might give her the best chance to compete early for a title.
What I would do: I would try to swap with Los Angeles for the #2 pick while also asking for their unprotected 2027 1st round pick in return. The 2027 Draft is loaded, and I'd try to give myself the best chance to land a top 2 pick that year.
SMALL FORWARD ANEESAH MORROW | 6'1 | LSU
Morrow might be the top talent in this draft, I really believe that. The only reason I don't have her #1 is because I don't think the Wings will consider it. They passed on Angel Reese last year, they don't have the best scouts. Morrow has the best all-around game on top of being a great scorer. Strong and skilled player with great shooting touch. Can spread the floor, can finish inside, sets good screens, crashes the boards, rebounds well, and can knock down the 3. Excellent scorer, averaged 26 PPG as a sophomore, she can obviously put points on the board.
On defense, she reminds me of Alyssa Thomas. She's that kind of bully. She's strong, she's physical, and she stands her ground. She's worthy of a top pick.
The Sparks are probably a better fit for Paige Bueckers. They already drafted SF Rikea Jackson and PF Cameron Brink last year. They need a guard more than anything. Morrow is simply too good to pass up on at #2 and is the top player available here. They should try to land a blockbuster deal with the Dallas Wings to get that #1 spot if they can.
What I would do: I would trade up to the #1 pick, but the most I would give up is a 2026 first round pick. I would take Paige Bueckers with that pick. She would pair with young players like Cameron Brink and Rickea Jackson to form a nice, young trio. If Dallas rejects the trade, I would simply take Morrow and find a way to make it work.
POINT GUARD OLIVIA MILES | 5'10 | NOTRE DAME
Ball dominant guard that can score well and has big play ability. Will have to go to the right team so that she can play her type of game.
A place like a new expansion team that's going to need a floor leader and scorer. Miles would be an great option for Golden State, who somehow dropped to #5 in this draft. NBA expansion teams usually get a top 2 pick. Golden State might want to trade up for her.
What I would do: Iriafen is a hot commodity. I would see if the Mystics want to swap the #4 pick for her. That way, I can get compensation and still get the player I want in Miles. Washington drafted Aliyah Edwards last year at power forward, so it doesn't make much sense to take Iriafen the following year.
POWER FORWARD KIKI IRIAFEN | 6'3 | USC
Iriafen is a gifted athlete and impacts the game in so many different ways. A versatile Forward, with good size and mobility, she was seen dunking in some workout videos. She had great coaching at Stanford for 3 years, and now she'll be joining Juju for 1 year to compete for a National Championship. Statistically, she could take a step back because she's the 2nd best player on her team. She'll have to fit in around Juju.
She'd be a weird fit in Chicago, who already have Reese and Cardosa. They need more scorers and playmakers on the wing more than anything. This is an awkward draft so far. The talent just isn't matching the team needs. A trade is imminent.
What I would do: Either trade up for Olivia Miles, which sounds reasonable. Or trade back a few spots to get future draft compensation and select Georgia Amoore.
FORWARD AJSA SIVKA | 6'4 | SLOVENIA
Golden State might as well shake things up here. All of the key players are gone, and an oversees MVP like Sivka might actually be the best option.
What I would do: I would try to trade up a spot or 2 for Olivia Miles. I'm not giving up a 2027 first round pick to do it though, I'd offer a 2nd round pick or two.
(#11 IN THE VIDEO)
FORWARD SONIA CITRON | 6'1 | NOTRE DAME
Really smooth player, has good size at 6'1. Can play guard or forward. Good ability to get clean shots off of the dribble.
GUARD AZZI FUDD | 5'11 | UCONN
Polished player with excellent coaching. Has been seasoned at the great UCONN, and has good game to go with it. Doesn't have many weaknesses and can play either backcourt position.
The Liberty are looking to compete for another title. They bring in a player with a winning pedigree that knows how to execute the gameplan. Also a tough defender.
CENTER DOMINIQUE MALONGA | 6'6 | FRANCE
Nice long-term potential at the Center position, especially on defense. Can be an anchor in the paint and on the boards.
POINT GUARD GEORGIA AMOORE | 5'6 | VIRGINIA TECH/KENTUCKY
Usually the fastest and quickest player on the court. Has excellent basketball suave. Great ball-handler, can push the ball fast in transition.
The Aces lost this pick as a result of league violations. Coach Hammons was suspended as well for her role in it.
However, the Aces made a genius selection in last year's draft. They were able to pick up 6'6 Elizabeth Kitley. I had her rated as a top 5 player in the 2025 WNBA Draft before her ACL injury. If she returns to form, she'll be a huge addition for an already great team. They have the personnel to go with the big line-up.
GUARD TE-HINA PAOPAO | 5'9 | SOUTH CAROLINA
Excellent shooter on all levels. From free throws, to field goals, to 3-pointers. It's hard not to love the pure-shooting ability. Transferred to South Carolina, which was a great decision. She can play either guard position, and could fit into the backcourt with just about anybody. She obviously has great coaching which no doubt helps along the way.
POINT GUARD HALEY VAN LITH | 5'6 | TCU
Van Lith came into this year with something to prove, and so far she's done just that. TCU has been a great fit for her. She doesn't have to defer as much as she did with LSU. They are also playing more to her strengths. She's in great shape, she has a chip on her shoulder. You can look at her this year and notice that she put in some serious conditioning work during the off-season. She's ready for the pros.
They Lynx really just need some youth on their team. They drafted Pili last season. They're going to need a PG for the future.
GUARD/FORWARD SHYANNE SELLERS | 6'2 | MARYLAND
Versatile player, plays like a point guard with forward size. Is a leader for her team, can help the team in a variety of ways. Scoring, rebounding, playmaking, and solid defense. With Taurasi nearing retirement, they'll need all of the ballers that they can get their hands on. They didn't make a 1st round selection in any of the last 2 drafts.
