SMALL FORWARD AJ DYBANTSA | 6'8 200 LBS | BYU | FRESHMAN
Excellent athlete that can do everything well. Long, athletic, good feel for the game, good footwork, good handles. Able to go left or right, nice shooting touch, plays with confidence.
I wouldn't argue with anyone who has him #1 because he's worthy. He does remind me of Shai a little bit. He has more bounce than Shai, so the potential is crazy high. I certainly understand the intrigue if he continues to progress. He's a ball-dominant player. This draft has two worthy #1 picks.
GUARD DARRYN PETERSON | 6'5 195 LBS | KANSAS | FRESHMAN
Reminds me of a better version of Victor Oladipo. Good athlete, solid player, great feel for the game. Impacting college immediately as a freshman talent.
The Hawks would benefit with a scoring 2-guard of this caliber. Peterson could easily become the new face of the franchise.
POWER FORWARD CAMERON BOOZER | 6'9 215 LBS | DUKE | FRESHMAN
Excellent ballplayer has potential to be better than his dad. Plays the big spot perfectly, always in the right place, always cleaning up, excellent rim runner, and excellent 2-hand finisher. He's a #1 talent and he has excellent size to play the 4. He's guaranteed to get you 20 and 10 in his prime.
He's been well-schooled by his father. At 6'9, he's the same height as his father. I can see that his dad has been in his ear, Cameron understands the game. While Cayden looks more like Carlos in the face, Cameron is the one with the similar body for the NBA.
FORWARD KOA PEAT | 6'8 210 LBS | ARIZONA | FRESHMAN
Smooth player, good feel for the game, basketball suave. Has good handles for his size, good playmaking ability, and knows how to score too. Reminds me of Carmelo a little bit. He's a smooth player that doesn't wow you with his athleticism but is still a really good athlete. He relies more on his skills.
Brooklyn drafted a lot of guards last draft. They have plenty of guards. They could use a good, young wing player like Peat. He can score and has a solid overall game to fit right in wherever he goes.
GUARD Mikel Brown Jr | 6'5 190 lbs | Louisville | Freshman
The Mavericks won't control their 1st round draft pick again until 2031. This is the time to get it in one last round before that drought starts. Adding an explosive, young guard would secure the future with Cooper Flagg. Brown could be the successor for Kyrie when he's ready to retire in the next 5 years.
Guard Kingston Flemings | 6'4 190 lbs | Houston | Freshman
The Kings need a ball-handler that can come in and control the tempo. After losing Tyrese Haliburton and then D.Fox, they are desperate for a real playmaker. Sabonis may be asking for an exit here soon, so they'll probably need to find a big as well.
POWER FORWARD CALEB WILSON | 6'9 | NORTH CAROLINA | FRESHMAN
The Thunder have plenty of guards, there's not a whole lot of room for anyone in the backcourt. Unless they absolutely fall in love with one of the available guards, they're sure to take a forward or two in the first round.
Guard Darius Acuff Jr | 6'3 190 lbs | Arkansas | Freshman
The Hornets will need an insurance plan in case LaMelo Ball wants to get out of town in the future. If they manage to keep LaMelo long-term, now they'll have an excellent 6th man to play either guard position off of the bench for them. A starting caliber player either way.
GUARD NATE AMENT | 6'9 180 LBS | HS SR
Excellent touch on his shots, already a great 3-point shooter. Has NBA length, will be a nice SF in the league one day. Excellent catch-and-shoot player with deep range on his shots.
The Thunder double-up at forward here. Wilson can rotate as a 4 and Ament can rotate as a 3.
Guard Cameron Carr | 6'5 175 lbs | Baylor | Sophomore
Excellent scorer. Has made impressive strides in his 2nd year of college ball.
Guard Lebaron Philon | 6'4 175 lbs | Alabama | Sophomore
Things are falling apart with Ja Morant, it feels like he'll be out of there soon. Philon can play as an insurance policy for the inevitable exit of Ja.
Guard Meleek Thomas | 6'5 185 lbs | Arkansas | Freshman
Thomas is a smooth scorer and scoring comes rather easily for him. He came in as a freshman and has made an immediate impact as one of the leading scorers.
Guard Tounde Yessoufou | 6'5 190 lbs | Baylor | Freshman
Strong, solid athlete that can come in and be the back up plan for Coby White.
F/C Jayden Quaintance | 6'10 255 lbs | Kentucky | Sophomore
With Tatum returning next season, look for the Celtics to try to add a player like Jayden. He's an unselfish big that doesn't mind doing the dirty work. He would compliment both Tatum and Brown well. He's more of an old school big and rim protector that can clean everything up.
Forward Chris Cenac Jr | 6'11 240 lbs | Houston
This is the 3rd player that the Thunder have selected in the draft already. After picking up 2 forwards, they pick up a center here that can also play the 4.
Forward/Center Hannes Steinbach | 6'11 230 lbs | Washington (from Germany) | Freshman
Forward Miikka Muurinen | 6'11 210 lbs | Finland
Guard/Forward Matt Able | 6'6 205 lbs | North Carolina State | Freshman
Forward Karim Lopez | 6'8 220 lbs | New Zealand
Point Guard Bennett Stirtz | 6'4 190 lbs | Iowa | Senior
