2023 NBA DRAFT PROSPECTS - LOTTERY AND STEALS

1. SPURS - VICTOR WEMBANYAMA - CENTER

3. TRAILBLAZERS - SCOOT HENDERSON - POINT GUARD

2. HORNETS - BRANDON MILLER - SMALL FORWARD

Best prospect since LeBron James. Considered the ultimate cheat code with his 7'3 height combined with his guard-like skills and agility. Almost like a 7'3 Durant running around.

2. HORNETS - BRANDON MILLER - SMALL FORWARD

The Hornets made a huge mistake here by passing on Scoot Henderson. I guess Jordan wanted to make 1 more bad management move before he set off into the sunset. He was the only majority black owner in the NBA and now there are none. I wouldn't call that progress either. I'm kind of glad that they didn't get Scoot, because they didn't deserve to have him. He could have defended opposing point guards while LaMelo guarded the opposing shooting guard. on offense, LaMelo could have been the one to bring the ball up the court most of the time, and Scoot could have been the 2nd option on the wing. I think it could have worked well from a philosophical standpoint. And honestly, Brandon Miller's story sounded sketch involving his gun in an actual murder, there's real character concerns for this guy. Should have taken Scoot instead.

Miller is a good scorer, but not necessarily a good shooter. His shot is a low release that will make his space harder to find.

The Trailblazers got lucky here. Scoot was a potential #1 talent, who might have gone #1 in another draft not involving Wemby. He has an NBA ready body and already drawing comparisons to Derrick Rose. He's built a lot like Eric Bledsoe was in his prime. It also gives them a chance to add more talent by now being able to move on from Lillard. Billups has a lot of young talent moving forward with Scoot and Sharpe, 2 young phenoms.
