2027 WNBA MOCK DRAFT - POSSIBLY THE BEST DRAFT CLASS EVER

#1 HOUSTON COMETS

The Connecticut Sun will be changing their name to Houston next year. There's a good chance that they'll reclaim the original name.

JUJU WATKINS - USC

FORWARD JUJU WATKINS | 6'2 | USC

RATING: 88

CEILING: 100

Juju is next in line as a future legend in the game. She's strong enough to play power forward, but agile enough to play guard. She has an excellent 3-point shot or she can bully her way to the rim any time she wants to. She can also finesse her way in there. As a sophomore, she's already the best player in college. She could enter the league right now and still dominate a lot of these grown women in the league. She has the ball on a string and a full bag of moves. Scoring and leadership comes easy. She has a cool, calm demeanor, but she plays with a fire. The sky is the ceiling.

It looks like the Connecticut Sun are tanking, possibly to get in better position for Juju. The WNBA Draft order is based on record for the last 2 seasons. The Sun has the worst record so far and it doesn't look like it's going to get any better in the near future. They owe their 2026 1st round pick to the Chicago Sky. The following year though, is the year that the Sun are expected to be at the bottom. That's the 2027 Draft the Juju will be eligible for, and the WNBA needs her. She is a true rival for Caitlin Clark, a legitimate rival.

HANNAH HIDALGO

POINT GUARD HANNAH HIDALGO | 5'6 | NOTRE DAME

RATING: 84

CEILING: 99

Exceptional athlete, faster and quicker than everyone else. Dare I call her the next Iverson of the WNBA, except with a better 3-point shot. She's an exceptional 3-point shooter. She has the handles, speed, and quickness to get to anywhere on the court that she pleases. Able to toy with defenders. She's a worthy franchise player and would go #1 in most drafts.

#3

MADISON BOOKER

 Forward Madison Booker | 6'2 | Texas

RATING: 83

CEILING: 94

At 6'2, she reminds me of an Alyssa Thomas type. The difference is that Booker is a natural scorer and already has a complete game on offense. She has tight handles, and an array of moves with her footwork. She can get off a shot in a variety of ways and is a 3-level scorer. Poised beyond her years, she came up big as a sophomore, especially in the NCAAW Tournament. Always shows up to play, you know exactly what you're going to get. A player that impacts the game in a huge way.

STATS

#4

KHAMIL PIERRE

FORWARD KHAMIL PIERRE | 6'2 | NORTH CAROLINA STATE

RATING: 82

CEILING: 92

Good size and stays active around the rim. Great finisher inside. Good footwork and burst, runs the floor well. Smart player, usually in the right spot. Averaged 20 and 10 as a sophomore for Vanderbilt, plays a winning brand of basketball.

STATS

#5

AUDI CROOKS

FORWARD/CENTER AUDI CROOKS | 6'3 | IOWA STATE

RATING: 84

CEILING: 93

Audi is obviously an excellent scorer. She knows how to put the ball in the basket. She has excellent footwork in the paint, and knows how to use her size. She has excellent hands, soft hands. She also has huge hands and long arms to easily handle entry passes. She rarely misses lay-ups, she has a soft touch  on shots around the rim. She's stronger than anyone on the court. Nobody can move her out of her spot, and she knows how to get to her spots. She has been the most efficient player in college bball so far.  She'll make an immediate impact no matter where she goes. She would also go #1 in a lot of drafts.

STATS

#6

S'MYA NICHOLS

GUARD/FORWARD S'MYA NICHOLS | 6'0 | KANSAS

RATING: 82

CEILING: 92

Reminds me a lot of Allisha Gray for the Atlanta Dream. Solid base, good scorer, smart player. Skilled and polished.

STATS

#7

MILAYSIA FULWILEY

GUARD MILAYSIA FULWILEY | 5'10 | LSU

RATING: 81

CEILING: 92

Quick, silky-smooth, fast, and agile player. Excellent ball-handler, able to get anywhere on the court that she pleases. Similar to the way Ja Morant does in the NBA. Fluid playmaker that can get to either side of the rim and finish with either hand off of the glass. Creative passer that can make any pass on the court. Has that quick burst, and some of the best handles and passing that you can see. Also unstoppable in transition at pushing the ball all the way to the paint.

LSU was able to pick up one of the top point guards in the entire nation. It'll be fun to watch her with her new team, they're all perfect for each other. They'll compete for a title.

MIKAYLAH WILLIAMS

FORWARD/GUARD MIKAYLAH WILLIAMS | 6'0 | LSU

RATING: 81

CEILING: 91

Excellent shooter that doesn't force things, lets the game come to her. Always ready and confident to shoot the ball. A natural shooter of the ball. Has played on good teams, so all of her points come within a structured system. She can fit into any system with her shooting touch dynamic. She also has very good strength.

STATS

#9

TALIAH SCOTT

GUARD TALIAH SCOTT | 5'9 | BAYLOR

RATING: 82

CEILING: 92

Excellent scorer, that's pretty easy to see. Great at fooling defenders and getting around them for medium range to close shots. Has an array of moves to elude defenders, knows how to get to the basket. Is also a 3-point threat and efficient scorer from downtown.

STATS

#10

TESSA JOHNSON

GUARD TESSA JOHNSON | 6'0

 SOUTH CAROLINA

RATING: 78

CEILING: 88

Sniper from the outside, perfect form on her shot. Always confident and ready to shoot. Able to play within the system, she's definitely a 2 guard. Smart player that has had the best coaching and resources in college. Mature player that has already played and starred in big games. When she's off of the ball on the 3-point line, her defender absolutely cannot go over to play help-defense at any time. You can't leave this girl open, she'll make you pay.

STATS

#11

GUARD TALAYSIA COOPER

GUARD TALAYSIA COOPER | 6'0 | TENNESSEE

Fast, quick, shifty player. Dangerous in transition, will get to the basket when she wants to. Has excellent touch on her shots, and deep range on her 3. Great lateral mobility and good hands on the defensive side of the ball. Has excellent stamina and plays with a lot of energy.

Excellent size at 6'5, moves well for her size. Impacts the game on both sides of the ball. Can score with her back to the basket, has good footwork inside. Also has touch on her jumper. On defense, she's able to protect the paint. Her long reach and anticipation helps her rack up the blocks.

To all of the top prospects out there with fat NIL deals. Hook a brother up, send a little something this way. It will go a long way in contributing to future content. I put a lot of time into studying everyone's game, and I trust what my eyes are telling me. I'd like to build a gym one day to work with the youth and provide them a stage to display their talent and work on their game.
